The Story of the Snow Children by Sibylle von Olfers - review

At the Palace, the Snow Children lead Poppy to the Snow Queen and the Snow Princess. I like this book very much because it is about a girl called Poppy and I have a doll called Poppy. The Snow Princess then shows Poppy her beautiful crystal garden and then they all play Ring a Roses and dance. There are some snow children who dance around and Poppy watches them from her window. It so happens that it is the Little Princess's birthday. The Swirly Wind spirit puts Poppy on a sleigh and takes her to a Crystal Palace with the Snow Children flying around her. She goes outside and there are lots and lots of Snow Children to play with. Poppy puts on her cloak, her hat, her muff and her warm boots and her gloves (everything is a beautiful red apart from her muff which is white).

Funny how we complain in the summer about no school and complain during the school year about too much school. The kids played and played in the snow, and so did Kevin and I. Then we came home to reality and reality is great, but not as much fun as vacation in the mountains. Kevin is about to pull his hair out at work he is so busy and the kids and I just jumped right back into the school year. ah but we do. That is why I should be in charge of the school system:) And I am rambling. Very busy November. The kids are all doing super. Spent our two week break in Colorado (or traveling to. ) and enjoyed it thoroughly. Cried for a week straight. Found a new home for our dog Minnie. Very crazy December. Happy and mostly healthy....
